OC Sheriff’s Office Investigating Attempted Truck Theft

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) is requesting the public’s assistance in investigating an attempted motor vehicle theft in Locust Grove.

On Friday, Oct. 13, at approximately 2:50 a.m., two individuals were captured on camera attempting to take several trucks from E & M Auto Sales, located on Germanna Highway (Route 3) near the Route 20 intersection.

OCSO Lt. Becky Jones confirmed that the vehicles were locked and the suspects were unable to enter them.

Lt. Jones also stated that at this time, the sheriff’s office does not have reason to believe that the attempted theft at E & M Auto Sales is in any way related to the theft of two dirt bikes from a property on Monrovia Road in Orange on Oct. 16.

Those who recognize the suspects or have any other information regarding the incident are asked to contact Deputy K. Smith of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 672-1234.
