Press Release: Dawgs and Dogs Adoption Event Oct. 14

ORANGE COUNTY, Va. – The Orange County Animal Shelter, in partnership with the Orange County Parks and Recreation Department, will host a dog adoption event Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.at Skydog Orange Dog Park, located within Booster Park at 11177 Bloomsbury Road in Orange.

Those interested in adopting a dog are encouraged to attend with the whole family, including any current dogs, to find their perfect pup. Many adorable, adoptable dogs will be onsite and ready for play in dedicated sections of Skydog Orange Dog Park.

Additional benefits of attending this event will include pet-friendly giveaways, free hot dogs, and most importantly, half-price adoption fees. The Orange County Animal Shelter has never offered reduced adoption fees before. Those that begin the process at the event and satisfactorily complete all necessary adoption steps within one month will be eligible for this special reduced rate.
